~Post~ Finally feeling her luck pull through for her, Xavier slowed to a stop as her spear it home. " Geez." Taking on three wolves at once had not been something she was looking forward to. She may be brave, but she wasn't stupid. ~Post~ Looting an uncommon spear from the wolf, Xavier raised an eyebrow, wondering how in the world it had carried this thing around. Not questioning it too far, she put the item in her bag to take it back for an appraisal later. At least that was just what she needed, her starter spear was something that definitely needed to be replaced, and soon. ~Post~ Simply finding a common pair of pants, Xavier really did wonder how the monsters got hold of such things. Ah well, at least now she could walk around with some actual pants rather than just what her avatar had been given on creation. Stuffing the item in her bag as well, she went on to peer ahead through the shadows of the forest at the wolves her little run away had been trying to get to. She had survived the first attack, so, guess she could try to take on two at full health just to test her mettle. She'd have to finish them quickly... Her spear wouldn't last much longer. ~Post~ Feeling her spear connect, the wolf turned on her quickly, getting a snap at her ankles. It didn't do as much damage as the last two time she had gotten bitten, but it still hurt her dwindling health bar. Cursing lightly under her breath, she sidestepped out of the other wolf's range before it could take a bite at her as well. ~Post~ Thanking her single point in dexterity for being able to land her last hit on the wolf, Xavier back off slightly. She was already less than half health and still had two vicious looking enemies in front of her to deal with. Recalling how her last play to get both of them to low health first then take one down worked so well, she decided to try it once more. Taking quick steps back from the wolf's dangerous fangs, Xavier saw her leap had just now come off of the cool down period. ~Post~ It was just not her day right now. Unleashing her strongest skill, the wolf danced right out of her way. " Damn beast!" she yelled at the thing right before it lunged for her. Having far better luck on her skill in defending herself by getting the heck out of their way, she kept herself from both wolf's attacks. Having her less powerful skill come back up, she decided to use it as well, needing to reply on the slight bonus it gave to help her take down these things. ~Post~ Letting out a rather foul curse at the creature this time, Xavier was becoming irritated all over again from how it kept getting out of her way. Sure, she was probably causing them just as much frustration, but she had been doing so well up until now. ~Post~ Finally hitting the wolf, even if it wasn't with her sword arts, Xavier was glad enough just to do a bit of damage to the stupid thing. It seemed to feel her wrath slightly, backing down, but it looked a little suspicious. She glanced at her cooldowns again, but already knew what they would tell her. They weren't ready, and she needed to learn some patience. Growling low under her breath, she went to take another strike on the wolf she was still focused on. ~Post~ Just accepting her unlucky day, Xavier wasn't even surprised when her spear went right over this dogs head. In fact, she wasn't even sure she was fighting a normal dog, this thing wanted to LIVE and badly. Being who she was though, she wasn't about to stand for insolence from some high and mighty mutt. ~Post~ Persistent nature finally paying off, Xavier's attacked turned out to be much more powerful than the wolf's. Instead of being damaged, she slammed herself into the thing and smashed all of its remaining health into the red zone, past the red zone, and sent it to its maker. " Hah! Take that ya overgrown pup!" While she was proud of her kill, Xavier chose a rather poor time to celebrate. The other wolf she had been fighting jumped right onto her back and sank its teeth into her shoulder, causing her to flinch at sheer shock seeing the animal and her health bar to flash in the red zone.
