Heaving a sigh, Xavier stood up from her chair in the Town of Beginnings. Sick and tired of just moping around town, waiting on something to happen, she decided to head out on her own to figure out what to do about the situation. Newly motivated to solve all the world's problems on a whim, she started towards the other side of the town to see what sort of quests might be on the outskirts. Heading through the market, however, she happened upon an elderly woman who grabbed her attention, offering her a quest for gear and possibly materials for crafting. " Ah hah, oh yeah, guess I hadn't thought about that yet! Sure, I'll give you a hand." Mission Accepted~ Beginner's Quest!

~Post~ Taking up the offered sword, Xavier swung it a couple times to test it out. It wasn't the greatest weapon she had seen since logging in late to the game just to find out she was struck until the final floor, but it was a start. That was all she needed. She took the offered sword gratefully, " Thanks, I appreciate the help." With a wide smirk, she turned away and headed out to the location of the ravens. ~Post~ A satisfying whack sounded to Xavier's ear as her attack hit home, sending the raven tumbling slightly under the impact, making her think she was hitting it harder than she really was. " Hah, no wonder those kids like this game so much, it's great!" Slightly distracted, she didn't notice the thing coming at her and running straight into her face with its claws. ~Post~ Rather ungraceful in her flailing about, Xavier failed to hit the starter monster this time around. It continued to scratch at her, but luckily was still to small to do anything about her. After a moment more of tormenting her, it backed off and seemed to cackle at her slight struggle. ~Post~ Strolling around the courtyard, Xavier couldn't seem to spot any of the other crows lurking around. It was a strange sight since she was positive that she had seen a whole flock of them while coming here. ~Post~ During her search, Xavier's eye is pulled towards a bush, thinking that she's seen a leaf move out of the corner of her eye. Pushing some of the twigs aside, she didn't spot anything at first, but before she knew it she sure did see something. A second black raven flew out of the bush, though it tried to attack her on its way out, she nimbly dodged out of its way. Jumping back so swiftly, she was surprised to find herself still on her feet after the surprise attack, but didn't question it yet. ~Post~ Nimble as a fly, the Raven avoided her swats at it, but when it backed away from her attack, it gave her the chance to back up from it. Ducking from its dive at her, Xavier was able to roll a few feet away then spring to her feet in a second. ~Post~ Feeling the satisfying impact of her sword against the raven, Xavier watched it fall before her, right out of the air. A grin spread wide across her face as she brought it over to the first one she beat, piling them up to take back to the old lady. Having needed a few hits to take down the last bird along with some suffering to hit, she felt more motivated for her next fight. " Let's see what other fellas I can find around here~" Glancing over her shoulder, she found two Ravens close together. She assumed both would start attacking her if she went after just one, but that thought didn't deter her.
