Mortambo shakes his head and answers as he plops down next to the bench his armor creaking as he readjusts, "No, I just try and help out the newbies. Especially the ones who are too scared to pick up a sword to even try the beginner quest. While I understand the fear, I think they need at least basic skills and if having someone nearby to 'watch over' them gives them the courage to face the reality of this situation, then I can do that for them." Mortambo shrugs as he looks towards the house and continues, "It seems like this guy is particularly cowardly though." He frowns.

Tokusie leaned back on her arms and crossed her legs. Her brown eyes wandered to the people attacking birds. "We cannot fault them for being scared and we shouldn't push them. Fear will get them killed. If you falter before a mob it won't stop to ask you if everything is alright. They have to have their own courage to not flinch when hit. To be strong when their hp gets into the red or the hp of a friend. Fear in those moments will not be good. We cannot push them into having the confidence for those moments. They have to find it themselves."

He wasn't trapped here with others, but Mortambo did seem to be quite the leader type, swooping in to help out the other players with their hesitation. Letting them lean on him while they adjusted to their new surroundings in a strange world that was out to devour them. It was a scary sort of thought, and going up there to meet the monsters head on wasn't much better. Then Tokusie's view was just the opposite, tough love so to speak.
Use to taking a sort of middle-ground between people, Xavier nudged the woman beside her, "Everyone needs a little encouragement through kind words to get them past a rough day. Shoo, just meeting up with you two has made my day worth it~" Turning towards Mortambo, she spoke to him next, "But they won't always have someone around when they need it, just make sure to let them seek out the help, rather than seeking them." Standing up, she brushed herself off, followed by stretching her arms up towards the sky. "Anyway, you two have any other plans besides helping out the newer players or wandering around town aimlessly?"

Mortambo looks at Tokusie, "I understand what you are saying. Of course, I don't push them beyond their abilities. That's why I take them out and watch over them, although as Xavier says, it is tough some time weaning them off of that kind of relationship. They have to learn to fly eventually." He looks thoughtful for a moment, "Although no one had to teach us that. I just feel I need to pass on the knowledge I've gained to others. And light a fire under the ones who are on the edge of being brave enough," he says as he begins to laugh.
Answering Xavier's question, "Not today. I've been doing quests and hunting so much, I thought I'd take the day off after I finished helping this guy." Mortambo shrugs as he finishes speaking. He looks back at the house, and sighs. "If he ever finishes."
