~Post~ Curling her toes, Xavier stretched towards the sky as she lay on a bench in the Town of Beginnings. It was one of those lazy days where everything was right and perfect in the world. Rolling over on her side, she let out a long yawn, turning to see another player fighting some Ravens in the Courtyard for the beginner quest. " Aah, I remember when I did that one~" Meaning just the other day. Reminded of the quest got her thinking on the kind old lady who had baked her that Raven pie. Though she had never been too good in the kitchen, now might be as good a time as any to learn to cook something delicious for herself. Plus she kinda just wanted to visit the old bag again to see if she was remembered. The path to her house wasn't long since she was already in the courtyard. " Hey, how you doin'!?" Throwing her hand in the air, she waved energetically to the old woman, trying to get the lazy day behind her. Coming up, she was met with a kind smile and eyes that she would like to think held some recognition in them, " Good evening dear, what can I do for you?" Returning the smile, Xavier went up to the porch, leaning over the wooden railing, " I was wondering if you could teach me how to cook?" Nodding, the woman sat back in her rocking chair, " We'll need some ingredients first, about ten should be enough." " Great! I'll be back soon as I can." ~Post~ Leaving the city walls, Xavier searched the area for a decent looking mob in the area. With a day so nice, it seemed even the monsters were too cozy to come out of their homes. Just outside the walls there didn't seem to be any sort of mob roaming around. Still, it seemed to have taken her longer than she thought to navigate the city, it was still perfect weather, but the evening sun was already starting to set in the horizon. Preparing for the oncoming darkness, she made her Night Vision skill was toggled on in the menu. Heaving a long sigh, she went further out towards a large, grassy area, some movement in the distance attracting her to the area. Up ahead she could see a small grouping of what looked like boars laying lazily in the sun. " Well, might as well disrupt their little nap time!" ~Post~ Running straight into the boar, Xavier caused it to roll over under the impact of her weapon. It didn't look to happy to have its nap, stubby little legs flailing before it got back up on its feet to glare at her. Having surprised it, however, she was about to take the second move as well before something slammed into her in return! " Gah! What the-!?" Stumbling and nearly falling to her side, Xavier found herself face to face with a second Boar. " You little sneak, hiding in the grass!" She hadn't even noticed it then because of her low vision skill, but she sure as heck did now. ~Post~ Xavier was clearly not someone who enjoyed being caught off guard by some mere boar. Slashing her Spear down the creature's side, she felled it in one powerful stroke. " Teach you how to hide in a bush!" Still, the battle wasn't over yet, the original boar was ready for combat and made a quick charge at her. Though it was a bit too hasty in its moves, giving her just enough room to leap back out of its way without getting hit. ~Post~ Slapping the boar over the face, Xavier made a second heavy blow to it, apparently earning the title of Xavier, the master Boar Slayer was a possibility in her future as it went down. ~Post~ Squinting in the darkness, Xavier noticed a few black spots on the monster and decided against using anything from. She figured that her first lesson as a chef would be what sort of ingredients to use and she didn't want to disappoint. ~Post~ Sighing as the other one felt too tough to be very good for eating, Xavier stood up and looked around for some other boars that she might be able to get something from. It took her a few minutes of peering through the darkness, but eventually she did see one with its jaws parted in a large yawn. Thinking that it might be best to incorporate some of the beasts own tactics into her own, Xavier ducked down into the tall grass. ~Post~ Weaving her way through the grass, Xavier found her way closer to her target. Spying on it through the grass, she crept lower until she was as close as she dared. Finding the Boar dozing obliviously just a few feet away, she leaped out of her hiding spot to bring her spear down on it. Giving it a rather rude awakening, Xavier watched the poor creature twitch on its side then just lay there after she crit the thing. Not knowing of the bonus damage, she poked the thing a few more times just to make sure it was down. " Well, not to jinx myself or anything, but that one sure was an easy kill!" ~Post~ Groaning out loud, Xavier was really getting tired of these useless boars. She needed something to bring back to the woman! Wanting at least one piece of meat in whatever they would be making, she jogged off to see if there were any other boars nearby. The things were kind of everywhere in the fields so it didn't take her long to locate one in the distance.
