Mortambo stops by Lane's Shop to see how the business is doing and notices he has a new quest. "Hey Lane, what's going on?" Lane responds with "Well my metal shipments from the mine to the north of town have all but stopped. The foreman of the mine said that it is overrun by Kobolds. If someone doesn't go drive them out, I might be driven out of business." When the quest box appears Mortambo says "I'll be more than happy to drive those Kobolds from the mine," as he hits accept. Quickly gearing up, Mortambo heads out immediately for the mine. Not seeing anything, he sneaks further into the mine and finds a Kobold Supervisor and two Kobold Miners working hard at getting at a vein of Iron Ore. Mort leaps out of his hiding place and strikes the Supervisor with a Vorpal Strike! The two Miners hesitate for a moment in the sudden surprise and ferocity of Mort's attack, but this quickly recover and try to hit him with their mining picks.
