After finishing his initial quest, Mortambo finds himself in the Trade District wandering around. He hears the clang, clang of hammer on anvil and goes to find the source of the sound. He finds a grizzled looking older NPC who looks up as he approaches. "You must like this sound, boy. Do you want to learn to be a blacksmith." Mort thinks it over and nods accepting the quest. "I think being able to make my own weapons and armor would come in very handy." "Well then, laddie," the old man starts as he goes over to the wall and takes down a mining pick, "The first thing ye must do is bring me 10 bits of iron ore. After that I'll get ye started on the basics." Mort grins, "No problem, I'll be back in a flash!" 1-10·1-10·1-20 |

Mortambo travels quickly through the forest, following his quest objective to the mine near the mountains. Quickly looking around he sees other NPCs and players mining. He takes one of the open iron ore veins and starts whistling a merry tune as his pick rises and falls against the wall of the mine. Nothing comes out, and a message pops up in his face that this iron vein is tapped out. His whistling stops and he sighs deeply wandering further into the mine to find a better vein.
